1832–1837, Letters 435–601

Volume 3 documents the Moulton-Barrett departure from Hope End to Sidmouth; and, from there to London. RB appears as a correspondent for the first time, exchanging letters with W.J. Fox and actor W.C. Macready, among others. Works produced by RB during this period include Pauline (1833), Paracelsus (1835), and Strafford (1837), which plays five nights on the London stage. Meanwhile, EBB publishes anonymously her translation of Prometheus Bound (1833) and contributes to various periodicals. She launches her remarkable series of nearly 500 letters to fellow-author Mary Russell Mitford.
